Men's Association
The Men's Association was formed and organized in 2007 with the purpose to provide competition, camaraderie and organized events for Pete Dye River Course members only. Annual fee of $50 is required for membership. This fee includes registration for VSAG Handicap and additional member services provided by the association. The Men's Association "Hole in One Club" is optional for members and registration is required with the association secretary.
Annual Men's Golf Association Meeting
On Sunday, February 24th the Pete Dye River Course of Virginia Tech will hold its annual Men's Golf Association meeting. The meeting will be at approximately 2:30 (at the conclusion of golf assuming the weather is nice enough to play). Please e-mail John Norton at norton@vt.edu if you have issues you would like discussed. The Men?s Association is open to All current members of "The River". The meeting will be held at the club house. Hope to see you all there.
MGA Ryder Cup
The Men's Golf Association recently completed their 4th event of the season. The format was the most exciting thus far in the 2007 season. Twenty four players competed comprising four teams of six players each. Captains Ralph Arthur, Loopy Price, Roger Wills, and Bob Hayes held a captains meeting on Wednesday evening to select the teams. Play began on Saturday with the teams competing in two man match play for the first 9 holes. Captain Arthur playing with Tom Pugh got their team off to an early lead with a victory in the best ball competition. Arthur's team continued their hot play on the back nine when teammates Benny Daigre and Todd Burchett captured a victory in captain?s choice play. As the dust settled on Saturday evening the teams gathered at the clubhouse for a fantastic meal prepared by Bobby Swain. Players and their wives enjoyed some good natured ribbing about the days events from Benny Daigre's miraculous chip in on the 18th to Ralph Arthur's par barrage on the front 9. A great time was had by all. The front 9 on Sunday saw more of the same from team Rugged as Bobby Swain and Ralph Arthur claimed a victory in the alternate shot format. A late charge by team Bossy kept the spectators interested well into the back nine, but team Rugged prevailed.

This schedule of events are in addition to club Member Events run by PDRC Staff. The association play unorganized events on every Saturday and Sunday at 8AM throughout the summer, Membership in Association or "The River" are not required for participation in these events.
